I think to a certain extent in our responses to Ben we are reading what we want or fear into the vague term he chose to use: "open audits". To my ears this sounded like a pleasant sounding euphamism for the always problematic voter receipts that show in crypto-form how they voted and by some crypto-magic allow them to trace their vote and "openly audit" that it was in a pool of published ballots. Others I think heard the strains of "open" data formats being suggested. Others heard a call for rigorous auditing.
Clearly none of us yet no what Ben was really talking about though the key ingredient in the eggroll seems to be Crypto.
What's your recipe Ben?
