I've spoken with Ping, and he (and his supervisor, David Wagner)
arrived at the design independently. Nonetheless, I'm a little
annoyed too that they haven't at least added an acknowledging
citation to the OVC work.
Nonetheless, it's good work... and anything that popularizes the
general concepts is for the good.
