What restriction did the SoS impose on the use of DRE's? When I voted
in San Mateo County, CA, there were several Hart machines set up in
the precinct. The poll workers didn't mention the possibility of
using a paper ballot. When we my girlfriend and I requested paper
ballots, we were given them.
Both of us had changed from party registration to Decline To State.
The list at the polls didn't reflect the change.
There was a lot of confusion about how I was supposed to vote because
I have been voting by mail and the ballot mailed to me couldn't be
used for the Democratic primary.
