|now we just need to find out from David Mertz what his bar code count
|is for this one.
No secret, Charlie, just head over to:
http://gnosis.cx/cgi-bin/entropy.cgi
And enter the 57 contests, or whatever it is, specifying the type of
each (and number of candidates--add one for "write-in" if that is
allowed in a given race. You don't -need- to add a comment by each race
indicating it's name, but it helps you avoid getting lost in a long
list.
I tried out another really big one that I think Steve pointed out, from
Santa Monica. That's at:
http://gnosis.python-hosting.com/voting-project/May.2004/0802.html
I think the current one is slightly smaller, but I didn't look carefully
at all the race types and numbers of candidates. Hint, hint (that's for
Charlie, or someone else, to try out).
FWIW, I think the prior example was sufficient to show that Code128
wouldn't hold enough for all the ballots, especially once some crypto
stuff was added to it. Hence probably some 2-D symbology.
