David, I don't know if I'd call him a crook at this point. To me, he sounds
like a semi-literate guy trying to make a buck -- maybe a bit of a
bullshitter too. I doubt he is so dumb he would put something up for sale
he knows is stolen. That doesn't mean it's not stolen.

This definitely lowers the value of the item.
