We should take care, the reason we're a consortium is that we are
working toward a group of involved companies that meet certain standards
for accurate, reliable and trustworthy voting. If VoteHere is a success
they will most likely be a partner in this with us.

Remember that this list is public, and it's not good to dis your
partners or potential future partners in public.

I've spoken with the folks at VoteHere and they are on to some good
things. In particular they seem to have a bend toward cryptographic
keying. I would guess (I've not seen the sources) that it is an
asymmetric crypto, probably something like a SHA-1. Although we
wouldn't use that in our bar codes, something involving a good PKI may
make sense. In any case I'm sure we can all contribute to better voting
systems together.
