He contacted me some months ago (just before the demo). We exchanged a few
emails. He really didn't understand the OVC project, and I did not have the
time to spend hours and hours in private email explaining it to him. I
referred him to our FAQ and various other documents.

His experience with open source e-voting is recounted here:

The article under debate here concludes, "More recent open source
initiatives such as the Open Voting Consortium in California are highly
likely to encounter similar difficulties." Since OVC is a vastly different
project, I don't see much relevance in his comments.

I will ask Jason for permission to post his article. Probably, we should
respond to it.
